COSTA RICA

RAINFOREST AND PELAGIC OCEAN QUEST

December 2025

The Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica is a true hidden gem, offering a perfect blend of rainforest exploration and ocean adventures. Nestled between the lush tropical rainforest of Corcovado National Park and the Pacific Ocean, this destination is ideal for travelers seeking nature, wildlife and adventure.

We will spend our days far out in the deep blue pacific in search of Megapods (hundreds to thousands) of spinner dolphins. In addition, we also have the potential to spot other species of dolphins including Pantropical spotted, bottlenose, common, rough tooth and rissos dolphins.

But wait, there’s more! Baleen whales such as humpback, sei and brydes can be spotted as well as toothed whales- false killer whales, pilot whales, beaked whales, sperm whales and if we’re really lucky, Orcas! Not to mention huge baitballs of fish, tuna, sailfish, sea turtles, sharks, pelagic birds, mantas and much more!

On land, we will spend a day at Corcovado national park, a definite must for nature lovers-it is known as one of the most biodiverse places on the planet!

We will spend the day looking for wildlife species including monkeys, tapirs, sloths, coatis, peccaries as well as many bird, reptile, amphibian and insect species! The amount of wildlife in corcovado is mind-blowing!

We will also explore the jungle on a night walk, where the evening brings out a whole different world of fascinating flora and fauna.
